Get Your GED To Succeed

Our mission is “To provide a stepping stone in basic education by paying for GED testing costs to aid adults so they may obtain future quality employment, or higher education.

We provide an essential service for those who are attempting to improve themselves, but need a hand in doing so.

501(C)(3) nonprofit

The GED is comprised of four tests:

  • Math
  • Reasoning through Language (RLA)
  • Science
  • Social Studies.

The cost for all four tests is $120.00.  For some, this amount is the only obstacle in their way to a better life. We believe everyone deserves a better life, and we believe that the best way to get that is with education.

Every year, over 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the United States alone. That’s a student every 26 seconds—or 7,000 a day.[1]

About 25% of high school freshmen do not graduate from high school on time.[2]

The U.S., which had some of the highest graduation rates of any developed country, now ranks 22nd out of 27 developed countries.[3]

What We Do- What is the GED?

The General Education Development tests are a group of four subject tests which, when passed, provide a certification that the test taker has United States high school-level academic skills.  It is an alternative to the US High school diploma.

For Hannah’s Sake provides vouchers that redeem for the provider to receive payment when scheduling a test.

The test has opened doors to better jobs and college programs for more than 18 million graduates since 1942.  Last year nearly 800,000 adults sat for the GED test, which is accepted by virtually all US college and employers.  – American Council on Education

About Us

For Hannah’s Sake, was formed to honor our daughter who passed away in March 2017.  She had goals to complete, and further her education, but wasn’t able to obtain them.  This is our way of giving in her name and allowing others to reach their pathway to an educated, employable life.

Success Stories

To date, we have provided over 800 test vouchers since our inception in 2018.  Our recipients range in age from 18-56; all those looking to fulfill a dream, or to help themselves toward a better paying job/continued education.

What our recipients say about us:

“Without your help, getting my GED wouldn’t be possible.” – Tony V.

“I’m a single mother of three, and every penny counts. I appreciate your help in making myself better for my kids!” – Lindsay R.
